With all of the sunshine we get in the Coachella Valley, who wouldn’t want to be outside?  There are programs and activities to keep you healthy, active and enjoying the great outdoors. From outdoor sports to field trips and events, we have something for everyone.

    Grand & Little Bird Explorers - Bird Walk 

    Join us this Thanksgiving Break for a special Grand & Little Bird Walk at the Salton Sea State Recreation Area! Enjoy birdwatching, nature exploration, storytelling, and fun bird facts while discovering one of California’s most unique bird habitats during peak migration season. Perfect for beginners and experienced birders alike! It’s also a wonderful opportunity for grandparents and grandchildren to spend some time outdoors together while sharing in the excitement of nature and wildlife. Transportation is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

    Trick or Treat Trail Ride

    Join us for a family-friendly Halloween Adventure on Wheels! The Trick-or-Treat Trail Ride is a festive bike scavenger hunt along the CV Link and Esperanza Park. Participants will follow a mapped route, collect treats, solve clues, and enjoy Halloween fun in a safe, active way. Costumes are encouraged, all human-powered wheels are welcome, and helmets are required. Costumes must be family-friendly and safe for riding. Masks are not allowed for safety and visibility. Get ready for a spooky one-mile ride you won’t forget!
