Meetings
The Board of Directors meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Indio Community Center located at 45-871 Clinton Street, Indio, CA 92201. The public is encouraged to attend and to provide input on facility and program needs.
DRD Public Meetings Calendar 2026In our efforts to comply with the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, individuals who need auxiliary aids and/or services for effective communication or to participate at a District meeting, must inform the District’s ADA Coordinator, Albert Galvan, no later than 24 hours prior to the meeting, either by telephone at 760-347-3484 or via e-mail.
Stewardship Reports
A Stewardship Report shares how Desert Recreation District cares for and invests in the communities it serves. It highlights the programs, parks, facilities, and partnerships that support health, connection, and wellbeing across the Coachella Valley. Through stories of impact, program participation, capital improvements, and financial transparency, the report reflects how DRD responsibly manages its resources while expanding opportunities for residents of all ages and abilities. It celebrates the ways our community, staff, and partners come together to create welcoming spaces where wellness, growth, play, and community thrive together.

General Election - November 3, 2026
All elections are administered by the Riverside County Registrar of Voters.
The District's Board of Directors is composed of 5 representatives, one member from each subdivision ("Division"), serving staggered four-year terms. Candidates for office must be registered to vote in the division in which they seek election.
Positions on the ballot this election cycle include:
- Board Member, Division 1 – four-year term
- Board Member, Division 4 – four-year term
The nomination period is Monday, July 13 to Friday, August 7, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. All required documents must be approved by the County by this deadline in order to qualify for the ballot. Please note that all documents are transmitted to and processed by the Riverside County Registrar of Voters, and District staff cannot anticipate processing times.
