We’re excited to premiere the first installment in this series: “Finding Jerry Rummonds.” At the heart of Thermal stands Jerry Rummonds’ Community and Senior Center—a place that has served residents for years. But one question lingered: Who was Jerry Rummonds?

While we had a few photos of him displayed on the center’s walls, we wanted to dig deeper and truly understand the person behind the name. Who is the young boy staring back at us from that framed photograph? What’s his story?
