August 11, 2025 — Desert Recreation District (DRD) today announced it will provide ongoing maintenance for the 40 miles of the CV Link, the Coachella Valley’s premier multi-use pathway connecting communities, parks, and destinations across the region. Beginning today, DRD attendants will be out on the route to ensure it’s clean, well-maintained, and ready to enjoy.

“Our team is thrilled to partner with the Coachella Valley Association of Governments (CVAG) to help care for this amazing community amenity,” said Lindsay Woods, Interim General Manager of Desert Recreation District. “CV Link connects residents and visitors to our cities and parks in a safe, fun, and healthy way. DRD’s attendants will make sure the path looks great and feels welcoming, so whether you’re walking, rolling, or riding, you can focus on the experience.”

As part of the new maintenance effort, DRD attendants will:

  • Perform trash pickup along the route and at rest areas.
  • Clean and maintain shade structures, water fountains and benches to keep them in top condition.
  • Log and report graffiti and other issues, coordinating with local law enforcement and partner agencies as appropriate.

“CV Link is all about access, to fresh air, to recreation, and to each other,” Woods added. “We’re proud to do our part to keep it shining.”

Residents and visitors are encouraged to explore CV Link and share feedback. Learn more at CoachellaValleyLink.com and follow updates on Facebook at facebook.com/CoachellaValleyLink and Facebook.com/MyRecreationDistrict
