Jazz/Hip Hop

This class is for students who want the technique of jazz and the style of hip-hop. Jazz technique including isolations, kicks, leaps and combinations will be combined with hip-hop style and technique. Age appropriate music will be used. Dance wear and black tennis or jazz shoes are required.

Beginning Ballet

Young dancers will learn ballet’s basic steps and beginning dance positions. This class is also designed to improve young children’s coordination and poise while introducing music appreciation and interpretation. Parents are welcome to sit in on the class to watch the fun and the gracefulness unfold.

Ballroom Dancing

Progressive Line Dancing

It’s not just “country” anymore. We line dance to all types of music including country, Latin, oldies, and even disco. No experience necessary and all are welcome. Progressive line dancing is a great way to meet new people, have fun and exercise for the mind as well as body. Mary Walker is an expert instructor for all skill levels from beginners through experts. Come out any Thursday and there will be plenty of lessons with lots of dancing in between. Sign up for a month or pay a drop in fee and try it once. No partner necessary.

Swing and Salsa for Beginners

Learn the basics of two of the most popular dances in this fun, easy class that promises to burn some calories. This two week class, concentrating on East Coast Swing and hot, popular Salsa, will teach the basic patterns for each dance. Both singles and couples.

Dance, Play & Pretend

Your child will have fanciful fun and playful, make believe time while being introduced to music and dance. This class teaches movement and coordination, using fantasy and imagination. It’s a great way for young children to learn some basic ballet movements in a fun and enriching environment. Dance wear and ballet shoes for girls; tee shirt, shorts and socks for boys are required.

PreBallet/Jazz 1

Combine the upbeat music and movements of jazz with graceful ballet technique and dances. This class is intended for thefirst- time dancer. Dance wear and pink leather ballet shoes are required.

Ballet/Jazz

Dancers will learn ballet fundamentals and technique, ballet barre and graceful musicality in ballet. The jazz elements of this class will incorporate kicks, turns and leaps with dances and combinations. Dance wear and pink leather ballet shoes required.

Jazz/Tap

This class will incorporate jazz kicks, turns and leaps with dances and combinations. Tap rhythms and steps will be taught with fun filled music and choreography. Dance wear and black jazz or leather ballet shoes are required.
