Fitness Centers
Looking for a convenient and affordable place to exercise? Then our Palm Desert, La Quinta and Indio Community Centers may be just what you are looking for. The Palm Desert Community Center is located in the Palm Desert Civic Center Park on San Pablo Avenue. The Indio Community Center is located on the corner of Clinton and 46th streets in Indio. And, the new La Quinta Community Fitness Center is located on Avenida Montezuma, close to Old Town La Quinta.

The Indio and Palm Desert facilities have full-size gymnasiums, weight and aerobic equipment, racquetball courts, showers and locker rooms. Our Indio facility offers an indoor, elevated walking/jogging track. The La Quinta facility is a fitness center that offers state-of-the-art TechnoGym equipment and is equipped with a Wellness System that can track user progress and activity. The Wellness System is available as an upgrade to the general facility use pass.

Fees
Annual Facility Use Pass or $5 daily walk-in fee required.

Walk-ins must sign an “assumption of risk” form.
Use of these facilities is at one’s own risk.
Please bring your own towel and water bottle.

Mon-Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Sunday & Holidays closed.

Facility Use Passes

Desert Recreation District membership is no longer required to participate in programs. Facility use passes provide access to the gymnasium, track, and weight rooms and are available to purchase either for single day use or as an annual pass. Acceptable proof of residency (e.g. current utility bill) and photo ID are required for annual membership.
