Racer Heading Down the Street
The Soap Box Derby of the Desert offers 3 classes of cars. Stock, Super Stock and Masters divisions.

The Stock Division is designed to give the first-time builder a learning experience. Girls and boys ages 7 through 13 (up to 5'3" tall and 125 lbs.) compete in simplified cars built from kits purchased from the All-American Soap Box Derby Headquarters. These kits assist the Derby novice by providing a step-by-step layout for construction of a basic lean-forward style car.

The Super Stock Division is for the slightly advanced car builder. The car offers a simple method of construction, but it's slightly larger and accommodates youngsters 10-17 (up to 6" tall and 150 lbs.)

Desert Soap Box RacersThe Masters Division is geared for more experienced drivers and is designed for children ages 10-17 (up to 6" tall and 160 lbs.) This car shell comes in 3 pieces and the kit is the most technical and takes the longest to build. Because of the laydown design, small drivers are also competitive in this division.
